Project Manager, Advanced Research and Collaboration

Advanced Research and Collaboration (ARC) projects in the core engineering group are critical to the innovation strategy within Christie.  Using a design thinking approach the ARC initiatives focus on putting the customer problems first and solving these problems in the most innovative way. Advancing core technologies, building new business cases or expanding research through Open Innovation are a few key mandates of the Advanced Research and Collaboration team.

As part of the core ARC team, the Project Manager will plan and execute R&D projects, champion new ideas, and constantly strive to push Christie technology forward with core engineering.  Collaborating with all of engineering, this is a high-impact role integral to the ARC mandate where an entrepreneurially minded innovator will be critical.


  • Coordinate & develop multiple ARC project plans.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations aspects of projects, including resourcing, budgeting and communication.
  • Work with Systems Architects, product management and engineering to understand and deliver innovative early prototypes to help inform future product roadmaps.
  • Use your unique technical background to contribute to each ARC project and tell a compelling story for newly created technology.
  • Persistently help push new technology ideas forward with the core team.
  • Establish and maintain new ARC project management practices.
  • Monitor and regularly report the progress of projects to core team or senior management.


  • University degree in engineering, applied sciences, applied technology, or business
  • 3-5 years of relevant engineering or project management experience
  • Project Management specific tools (MS Project, MS Excel)
  • Understanding of Christie operations and ability to work cross functionality to achieve successful completion of projects.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Unique and distinctive problem solving skills.
