Customer Service Engineers (EMEA locations)

We have several opportunities available for Customer Service Engineers to work out of our EMEA locations including Dubai, Spain and United Kingdom.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the Customer Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance and support of AV products and related equipment.  You will provide technical telephone and field support and process trouble call tickets. In addition, you will be responsible for technical support of specialized internal applications, inventory management, software distribution / upgrade and supporting administrative tasks.


  • Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance accurately allowing sufficient time for transit and testing
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to meet the customers’ expectations via telephone or in person
  • Develop and maintain good customer relationships
  • Evaluation of services to engineering for software and hardware changes and the evaluation of new products and designs for the Marketing department
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Network issues i.e. connectivity, applications, Internet, Web, WAN, e-mail and infrastructure
  • Repair, and update products and software
  • Perform emergency service at the client’s locations as needed to ensure the full functionality of AV systems, media systems and related equipment
  • Support live events/screening
  • Provide detailed technical documentation relating to all functions performed
  • Process and maintain accuracy of inventory per SOP 
  • Provide on call technical phone support and field response
  • Install and document the installation of AV products and related equipment
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure optimum operation and a minimum of down time of AV systems
  • Provide detailed technical documentation relating to all functions performed
  • Provide technical training for the end user relating to the operation of AV system and related equipment
  • Maintain accurate market inventory and inventory reports
  • Understand AV signal flow and the ability to troubleshot to find failed component
  • Ability to diagnose and repair Digital Projectors and Digital systems
  • Perform maintenance/repair/alignment on automation system
  • Provide technical reports to Christie Digital Service Manager, Technical Services Manager, Project Managers and Coordinators


  • Electronics Technician program or related discipline at College or University level 
  • 2+ years related experience in repair/maintenance of digital projection systems and/or other audio visual systems
  • Understanding of analog and digital circuits
  • Experience with projection systems and audio systems
  • Valid driver's license 
  • Ability to travel regularly
  • Strong English communication skills including negotiating and analytical skills in dealing with customers
  • Electronics and troubleshooting skills
  • Presentation/teaching skills
  • Customer Focused
  • Ability to provide on call support when necessary
  • Experience with multimedia equipment installation and service
  • Experienced with AV testing and calibration equipment
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Experience with multimedia equipment installation and service
  • Excellent technical problem solving, troubleshooting, follow up skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance
  • Ability to safely climb ladders up to 15 feet
  • Ability to safely operate and navigate a motorized lift up to 35 feet
  • Excellent organization skills and a results oriented approach
  • A strong working knowledge of PC hardware, setup and repair
