Customer Quality Engineering Specialist

Summary

The Customer Quality Engineering Specialist is a customer focused role that works to improve our support of customer problems and provide statistical information to drive quality improvement. This role will be instrumental in driving root cause analysis and quick resolution to field problems as well as working closely with Christie's engineering, operations groups and 3rd party suppliers to develop permanent, long term solutions by leading cross functional problem solving teams. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to please customers and seek to anticipate customer needs.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree with 2-5 years of relevant engineering, quality or manufacturing experience or 3 year College diploma with 5-8 years of quality or manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of Cbase, Agile, JDE, and Sharepoint systems
  • Strong MS Excel skills specifically in data analysis
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships
  • Technical background including:
    • Understanding of video processing technology
    • LED technology and manufacturing
    • IT Networking
    • System design and integration
  • Ability to meet with customers and travel to customer sites and trade shows
  • Understanding of design and manufacturing processes
  • Experienced in root cause analysis and problem solving tools (e.g. fishbone, 5-why, 8D)
  • Ability to influence others to drive continuous quality improvements
  • Strong facilitator; excellent ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Experience working with customers and vendors
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
